AS8047 is the autonomous system number (ASN) announced by GCI. It announces 38 prefixes, 325,631 IPv4 addresses in total. Every address inside those ranges is routed by this operator, which is what makes the number the shortest answer to who runs a given address.

What AS8047 means for detection
Registry data does not say what kind of network GCI runs, and this page will not guess. Ownership alone cannot settle it: the name is the only clue an ASN carries about purpose, and this one carries none. A single address on it can still be classified, because that uses behaviour and range membership rather than the operator's name. Run one below and see what comes back.
